Youth and Young Adults

YaYA (Youth and Young Adult Ministries) is a comprehensive way of ministering to all our young members, Nursery through High School.

This ministry will be comprised of the following groups:

  • Church School, including the Nursery
  • Rite 13 (for Middle School students)
  • J2A or Journey to Adulthood (for High School students)
  • Youth Groups
  • Youth Mission trips
  • “Friday Night at Mike’s”
  • Youth Choir
  • the former Christian Education Committee

This umbrella organization will provide opportunities for all who wishes to support youth ministries at St. Michael’s to come together and work in the area that suits their interests and talents.  Please consider your talents and interests in the next few weeks:  you may have a knack for organizing events, sorting and washing nursery toys, creating and doing craft activities that support the church school curriculum, serving as youth group leaders, teaching church school, fitting choir robes, sponsoring movie nights, preparing snacks youth events or one of the many other things that are needed for a dynamic youth ministry.

Your involvement could be for the school year or for two or three special events.  Do you get the idea?  You may be the best supporter of our Youth Ministry, and your support will be welcome.

Let your support for YaYA be known to Rev. Marianna or Deborah Cooper.  We want to include you in this wonderful approach to youth ministry that has been successful in other congregations similar to St. Michael’s.
