The Vestry is the governing body of the congregation. It consists of 12 lay members, four of whom are elected annually, plus other lay persons who may serve ex officio. The Vestry is the board of directors of the church corporation; has fiduciary (or trust) responsibility for the congregation’s real estate and financial assets; approves the annual budget; calls and compensates the clergy; maintains the physical plant; and provides both temporal (worldly) and spiritual leadership. The Vestry meets monthly. The Rector serves as President of the Vestry, but votes only in case of a tie.
