This Week’s Inspiration:
The Rev. Jordan Hylden; what it means “to abide”:
“To abide is to live somewhere, to take up residence in an abiding place, an abode, to put down roots, to stay a while, to live in a place long enough that it’s no longer just where you hang your hat, it’s your home. To abide somewhere is to be there long enough that it becomes part of who you are, so that you can’t tell someone who you are without telling them about who your people are, where you come from, where your roots go down deep. And Jesus says, ‘Abide in me.’ ”
