“A world with suffering and death is not what our God has planned for us forever. God promises to wipe every tear from our eye, accomplishing this through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who will return one day to defeat death. Life, not death, will have the final word. This is the audacious hope to which we cling in the midst of a nebulous grief. And so we cry out with the psalmist, “How long, O Lord?” and keep waiting.”
